Lesley Fair is a Senior Attorney with the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, where she has represented the FTC in numerous investigations of false advertising and fraud. She now specializes in education and compliance with the FTC’s Division of Consumer & Business Education. A frequent speaker to consumer groups, industry associations, law enforcement agencies, and university students across the country, she focuses on fraud prevention, data security, online safety, and truth-in-advertising standards. She also blogs at business.ftc.gov.
A recipient of the Paul Rand Dixon Award for Law Enforcement and the FTC’s Award for Outstanding Scholarship, Lesley is a Vice-Chair of the Consumer Protection Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law and co-editor of the ABA’s consumer protection newsletter publication, What’s in Store. In addition, she writes a monthly column for Electronic Retailer magazine.
